The day I lost my sole

Every cloud has a silver lining.
Every dog hath its day.
Every garden may have some weeds.
Everyone is kneaded out of the same dough but not baked in the same oven.

It is official!
I have fallen sick.
Down with the flu and a nasty cough.
No voice and got phlegm. *bleah*
I need to get better by Monday!
With God’s help I will!
Yeah!

My sub-nick on Msn since last Wednesday:
"Watch the eyes and shoulders, kick above the belt... but don't 540 the head..."
Courtesy of Chi Foong. (Well, part of it anyway) :P
I was rather freaked out by the idea of sparring for grading so I asked him for help in training for sparring. It’s very stressful to train with him, but I guess it has to be done if I want to get better.
I was stressed and bundled down with cares for the sake of myself and others but God gave me peace, and friends who understood my stress and helped me through it all.
Praise be to my Abba Father!
A big THANK YOU to my society members! :D
The grading was GOOD, though I almost missed my turn, due to my ‘job’. I can’t find a better word to describe it except GREAT… and any other word which has ‘wah’ attached to its meaning. :D
Congrats to all my peeps for doing a good job at their patterns.
We must all jia you ah! Ganbatte ne!
I wonder when I can put in my order for my black belt gi…
-very loud migumi laughter-
Will write more about my grading when the official results are out.

Monday I went for my first WaterWays Watch Society boat patrol.
It was very fun, except for the nasty burn I got on my arms and face so at the moment, I look like a red panda!
Couple that with the two days of freshmen orientation, which I went through on Tuesday and Wednesday, and you have a lobster ready for the dinner table. Even my qian bei at the CC commented that I look like I just got fried. X.xlll
The FOD was not bad.
Yang Mui, Jill, Yong QIng and I shared the games station of: Double Whacko. Jill calls it ‘Sorry’ but you would have to take part in it to understand the reason for the name. Right Yang Mui?
-evil laughter-
Met a lot of people from my previous schools, they will be joining the family of SIM. Gosh~… now we sound like the computer game. o.olll
My seniors at SRJC are now my juniors. For Weiwen it will be in more ways than one coz he signed up for TKD. Muah hahahaha…
Kudos to the SRC members for doing a good job at the orientation.
For the hack of it I might as well put this down – Zi Ming is a very good OGL.

The booth set up for the SIM TKD club was rather successful. I just hope that the people who signed up are dedicated to the sport. I learned some sad lessons about politics, clubs and the stuff which could kill one’s love for the sport. I bless to have been able to make new friends during the orientation.
All the best to Michelle and her brother for the up coming selections and Vietnam Open!

Thursday was spent with my project members and we met up with Erica to discuss the latest events in our project. The YFC thing is supposed to be fun and a good opportunity to learn new things and increase my experience in various areas, but at the moment, it doesn’t seem to be very fun. *grrrr…* I am all ready to start kicking and bashing some people. Must ‘ren’, must ‘ren’.
There are a lot of things which happened that day but I shall scrape the details and just put down the skeleton:
I got caught in the rain.
I lost my sole.
I fell sicker.
My Kor kor is the best!

Friday morning I made up my mind to go to the doctor. If I did not go, I think I would be in a worse state than I am now. Next week has many important things which I need to accomplish.
At the moment I suppose I need to get my rest and not use my voice.
It is amazing how fast medicine can knock a person out.
I am swaying in front of the computer at the moment… I wonder how long I will last.
*Hmmmm… yawn … yawn… zzzzz…*

I have to buy new slippers and new sandals. My trusty sandals, after 2 years of service to me, split apart and became sole less on the left side while I was in orchard with Yilinn and Hui Min.
I can still wear the sandals, the sole less part is not that obvious, but who would want to walk around without a sole?
Need to fit a visit to the shoe shop into my already tight and messy schedule.
-starts pulling hair out and runs mad around the house-

The weather these few days has been very good, then again, I would consider it good only if I were to stay at home and in bed.
There has been so much rain that I catch myself thinking that it’s November/ December instead of July. Heh~
Being sick does weirdo things to one’s mind. O.olll

Looks like Blogger’s admin finally updated my post counter … from 79 to 220… so far X.x;;;

Jia: “hmm.. the concert is on 22 july.. $8 and $12... the timing is 7.30pm.. yeah.. i had fun for the chalet~”
Glad you had fun. :)
How’s your new timetable?
What subjects are you taking for the next semester?
I think I asked this question or you told me before, but I don remember… don blame me… blame the medicine…
-hides under the table-

Yang Mui ah!
Thursday watch Fantastic Four ah! My brother said it is not bad… :D
But have to watch it in the late morning/ early afternoon. I got a class to take in the evening… so how? Geoff is on with the movie? Anyone else interested in watching?

Swee Shoon!
How was your camp?
How many hours did you sleep?
Make a lot of new friends?

Parvy-warvy-Nef-mama~
It’s sad that we both could not make it on Friday for the rehearsal... but Mark told me that they were some what better on that day, so I guess that could be a subtle form of encouragement.
Can’t wait for Tuesday… miss you!

Doctor’s orders: need to drink more water.
-gets water bottle and gulps down H²O-

I am praying that I will at least be better tomorrow… got many things to accomplish next week… need to have my health back to get those things done…
To health!
Cheers!
^-^

Yup, camp was great, a pity the bad weather though. (haha, but that won us many hours of bonding time...)

Slept rather well actually, prolly managed six hours a day during the two nights I was there, in varying conditions (atop a concrete pavillion on Night 1 and inside a commercial tent on Night 2).

Of course, the extra bonding time allowed us to get to know one another better.
*Thanks the rain god for granting us team building time. :P
